Wood Rib and Round Mug Template Tool (SVG Download)
Download the SVG file we send to our laser cutter and make your own wood rib and round mug template tool!
You can use the same custom tool that we use to throw our 8oz Round Bottom Mug. The rib has markings for the diameter and height for your starting cylinder. The straight edge can be used for cleaning slip off the outer walls of your cylinder and the curved side is a template profile for the Odd Potter characteristic mug shape. We keep only a few of these in-stock and ready-to-ship. This tool is made for right and left handed potters.
We recommend using 1/8" birch plywood sheets in your laser cutter. Glue the two sides together and sand down to 200 grit. Finish your rib and mug template with food safe cutting board oil. Let the oil soak in for at least 24 hours before using on your next mug!
